International NGO, World Vision Ghana and mining company Goldfields Ghana have signed a One million dollar MOU to provide water for the people of Damang, in the Tarkwa Municipality of the Western Region.
The project will also include increased access to water, foster sustainability, strengthen water governance and promote innovative solutions.
The MOU will also amplify and expand water, health and sanitation for the people of Damang.
Country Director for World Vision Ghana, Laura Del Valle Christina said “The partnership will ensure the provision of water supply to communities, schools and Healthcare facilities and directly impact countless lives, especially the vulnerable”.
Executive Secretary of Goldfields Ghana Foundation, Abdel-Razak Yakubu who signed on behalf of his outfit said the move is one of the company’s core social responsibilities
“For us at Goldfields making lives comfortable for people is our priority and nothing comes good than helping people with safe drinking water”
