Diana Asonaba Dapaah, the Deputy Attorney General (AG), has advocated for a balanced approach between trade learning and formal education to protect the future of children.
Her call is aimed at eradicating child labour and human trafficking nationwide.
Recognising the importance of children gaining exposure to trades, Ms Dapaah stressed that this should not compromise their educational needs.
The Deputy AG voiced her views at the national justice conference of International Justice Mission (IJM) Ghana in Accra on Thursday.
The conference was held on the theme “The National Fight Against Human Trafficking; Reflecting on the Journey So Far.”
“Let’s have a holistic view of engaging children in trade learning and education…There must be a healthy balance between trade learning and child education,” she stated.
