After issuing an apology for insulting former Presidents John Mahama and John Kufuor, former President Jerry John Rawlings says there were more corrupt acts under the NDC administration he has not revealed.

It is not over. It is not over…”
A few days ago, the former President apologised for supposedly insulting Mahama and Kufuor.
Reports indicate that the Fourth Republic’s first President described John Kufuor as evil and John Mahama as a rogue.
He is also believed to have accused John Kufuor of sidelining Ewes in the military while saying John Mahama superintended over corruption.
Mr Rawlings reportedly said he would prefer hell if John Mahama and John Kufuor were in heaven.
“I know with my integrity when I die, I will go to heaven but when I see these corrupt leaders, I will ask permission from God and flog them… If they don’t leave heaven for me, I will go and leave the heavens and join Satan in hell because I cannot stay in the same place with them.”
He commented at a gathering of elders from the Mepe Traditional area in the North Tongu constituency of the Volta Region.
After intense criticism over his comments, the former President apologised, saying in a statement that his words were inappropriate.
However speaking at the lecture today [Friday], the former President said he was misrepresented.
He believes there probably would not have been the need for an apology if the “ones with sharp teeth had not attempted bastardising the truth.”
