According to the Managing Director, Joseph Nyarkotei Dorh the move forms part of the company’s core values of Trust, Integrity and Efficiency.
Speaking to Citi News after a short ceremony to welcome Prime Insurance to the Futurestars family, Mr. Nyarkotei Dorh said his outfit believes in the mission and vision of Futurestars, hence the need to support.
“We are delighted to be part of such a worthwhile and exciting project. The Futurestars Charity has the same values and objectives as we do, and we are fully behind the excellent work they are doing with schools and schoolchildren in Ghana.”
Mr. Nyarkotei furthermore pledged the insurance company’s total support to the charity organization.
“As a new partner, we are very much excited and look forward in walking and developing a much stronger relationship with all the other partners and we pledge our total commitment to this project”.
Director for The Futurestars Charity, Simon Milton said most of students they enroll are deprived children who received training in various sporting disciples.
“The children who attend the Futurestars schools come from some of the poorest communities and previously had no access to PE or sports at school. Sport delivered by full time qualified coaches gives the children motivation to attend school as well as a break from the working day and whilst this is for everyone
“We are also working to assist in the refurbishment of the schools is also a priority as there are no funds for general maintenance and facilities in all the schools are limited,” he said.
Mr. Milton commended prime insurance for such bold step to partner the Futurestars Charity.
Futurestars is an exciting education through sports programme delivering weekly PE and sports coaching to underprivileged children in five schools in Tema, Ghana.
In addition to the sports coaching programme, the organization assists and funds the refurbishment of the partner schools.
