The Rotary Club of Accra Ring Road Central (RRC) has announced that on the 7th of September 2019, it will hold its annual sponsored walk to raise funds in order to continue its mission of serving communities and people in need.
Funds raised from previously sponsored walks have contributed to the success of projects carried out by RRC including the following:
Blood donation drive throughout all the regions of the country
Providing sanitation bins along the Ring Road Central, and the Aburi mountain road
Building a classroom in the underserved community of Asempanaye
Providing optical and medical care to communities in Accra.
In speaking about the work of the club, Rotarian President Oswald Oduro stated: “As Rotarians we believe that there is no greater duty than to serve. We can all serve in different ways. People in rotary serve by volunteering their time, and donating their money to worthy causes. We invite all individuals and companies in Ghana to join us in serving our country by contributing in cash or kind to support any of the numerous projects that we are currently working on.”
The Rotary Club of Accra – Ring Road Central is one of the Rotary clubs in Ghana, operating under the aegis of Rotary International, an organization of about 1.2million individuals who come together to exchange ideas, take action and improve the lives of their respective communities. The club consists of seventy eighty (78) Members from varied professional backgrounds.
