Students of the Yamfo College of Health in the Tano Municipality of the Ahafo Region have expressed joy following the accreditation of its programs by the National Accreditation Board.
Two months ago, final year students of the Yamfo College of Health through the Sunyani High Court placed an injunction on the academic activities of the institution for running unaccredited programs.
The Students can now heave a sigh of relief following the accreditation of its programs by the National Accreditation Board.
Speaking to Citi News, some of the students expressed their excitement at the news.
They added that previously it was extremely difficult to acquire jobs after school because their school was not accredited but now that it was, they were looking forward to getting jobs after school.
Meanwhile, others have attributed the development to an answer to their “fervent prayers”.
The Yamfo College of Health, established in 2015 has over 1,000 students reading various courses.
Some graduating students of the college who expressed fears that they may graduate without certificates or that their certificates would not be accepted upon completion because the school lacks the appropriate accreditation placed an injunction on the running of the school.
