A total of 660,199 eligible voters are expected to cast their vote in today’s parliamentary and presidential election in the Upper East Region in 15 constituencies.
A visit to some polling stations in the region saw voters queuing to exercise their franchise.
Speaking to Citi News, the Binduri District Director of the Electoral Commission, Alex Sarh, said all was set for the exercise.
“All electoral items have been delivered to the centres. We will start exactly the time the Commission has given to us,” he earlier said.
“We pray that by the end of this exercise we have a successful election and peaceful one,” he added.
Over 17 million Ghanaians are expected to exercise their rights to vote in today’s general elections across the country.
