Ghana’s 6th Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye participated in the ongoing general elections by casting his vote at the Calvary Presby Polling Station in the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency today, Monday, December 7, 2020.
Expressing his satisfaction after he had voted, he touted the civil nature of the election so far.
“It tells you the level of development here in Ghana. I would like us to stop worrying about pessimistic things and look at the good sides. We are making progress,” he said.
Over 173,000 registered voters are expected to vote in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency where incumbent Sarah Adwoa Safo is contesting other parliamentary candidates, including the opposition NDC’s Elikplim Akurugu.
The Dome-Kwabenya constituency is one of the biggest constituencies in Ghana.
