Some personnel under the Heal Ghana module of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) are calling on the management of the programme to pay them their allowances, which they say are in arrears.
The aggrieved persons, numbering over 300, say they have not received allowances due them for work done for over six months.
In an interview with Citi News, some of them asserted that formal complaints have been made, but the authorities have done little to nothing about their plight.
“We have not been paid our stipends for 7 months now. We are always asked to fill forms, but they yield no results. We are frustrated. Nobody is giving us timelines.
“All they keep doing is to assure us that they will make payments. They keep frustrating us. We need to know when exactly the payments will be paid.”
Meanwhile, officials of NABCO have clarified that the delay in payment is due to ongoing verification to avoid payment of double salaries.
According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NABCO, Iddrisu Tahiru some beneficiaries have been absolved by the Ghana Health Service and the exercise is to differentiate them from persons who are still working under the module.
