S.O Frimpong Transport Limited (SOFT) has won the latest edition of the Puma Energy Transporters Quiz.

Held over the weekend, the quiz also had three other contestants including JK Horgle Transport, JK Ahiadome Transport and RIET Transport.

The contestants answered Multiple Choice Questions, Theories, Safety signs, and True or False statements.

At the end of a thrilling session, S.O Frimpong, with over 40 years experience in the transport business won, beating the three others to it.

The winners and all participants received prize monies, hampers, and trophies.

The Puma Energy Transporters Safety Quiz was started as an initiative to reach drivers and their assistants on the road safety protocols.

The company says it is a way of ensuring they understand their roles go beyond just driving a truck. The quiz also seeks to build a cordial relationship between Puma Energy and its key stakeholders (drivers and the transporter companies).

The goal according to the company is to ensure that the transporter community is conversant with the local road and traffic rules and operational Practices.

The quiz happens over three quarters in a year.

Henry Osei, General Manager, Puma Energy Ghana said “the Transporters Quiz allows us to fully test the knowledge of our partners while having fun and reconnecting with them after all the work on the field.”

Wilson Asota, HSSEQ Manager at Puma Energy added “As a company big on safety, this event always comes in handy to ensure that everybody in the value chain comes along with us. The response and level of commitment from our partners are always reassuring.”

Puma Energy Distribution Ghana Limited is part of a global oil and gas conglomerate operating in 47 countries.

The company currently operates 96 retail stations across the country.
