The founder and owner of Snap Finger Pizza World has reiterated the need for the majority of the youth in the country to venture into their own businesses rather than depending on the government for employment.
He believes this will reduce the burden on the government to employ while equipping the youth for the future.
Emmanuel Nii Commey laments the difficulty he went through after struggling for several years without being employed.
According to him, the vision to start the business began after he lost his job working in the oil fields in Takoradi, adding that the little money he got after losing his job was invested in starting up the food chain.
“It’s not been easy putting finances together to start a business. When I lost my job, the small money I got, I reinvested it into this business, which is over two and a half years old. I want to urge the youth to focus and follow their passion. This is because if you don’t have passion, when you fall, it becomes difficult to rise again, but when there is passion, you always have a reason to move, even if you fall,” Emmanuel Nii Commey told Citi News.
Speaking to Citi News after the grand opening of the fifth branch on the Obom road in Kasoa, the food chain conglomerate wants to become one of the best in the country, thus urging Ghanaians to support the brand.
“Like brands such as Kentucky Fried Chicken, KFC, among others, we hope to use this brand to also sell Ghana beyond the borders of the country,” Emmanuel Commey noted.
According to Emmanuel Nii Commey, the journey to starting a business is not an easy road, urging the youth to remain resolute in their quest to start a business.
“It is not easy to start a business in this country, particularly if you are not financially sound, but you must be prepared for the big task ahead since there are bound to be obstacles,” Emmanuel Nii Commey said.
