Mike Oquaye Jnr, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Dome-Kwabenya, emphasized the crucial role constituents have to play in the party’s goal to break the 8-year power cycle.
He highlighted the importance of the campaign visit by the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to the constituency on April 30.
He stated that Dr. Bawumia’s visit serves as a reminder of their community’s spirit and the collective efforts by the constituents to work hard to “break the 8”.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, May 1, Mr. Oquaye Jnr said, “Bawumia and Oquaye Take Dome-Kwabenya by Storm – The Constituency Lights Up! It was an exciting day in Dome-Kwabenya as the Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and I visited the community.
He emphasized, “We toured the Dome market and residential areas and were greeted by warm smiles and enthusiastic support from community members in Dome and Taifa. It was a delightful reminder of our community’s spirit and the essential role that Dome-Kwabenya plays in our collective effort to “break the 8”.
The parliamentary candidate for Dome-Kwabenya expressed his commitment to ensure the constituency remains a beacon of development. He also thanked the constituents for the warm reception.

As part of efforts to secure votes in the 2024 general elections, Dr. Bawumia visited the constituency. Accompanied by Mike Oquaye Jnr and other leaders of the party, they visited various locations within the constituency, engaged with constituents, and shared the party’s agenda.
They also visited significant areas such as the Dome market and residential neighbourhoods, where they received a warm welcome and support from the community members.
