As part of his annual tradition of supporting education, businessman Nelson Ndebah Ndebugre has presented 1,527 mathematical sets to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the Bawku West District of the Upper West region.
The gesture which is in its fourth year was aimed at equipping the candidates with the necessary educational materials to enable them write the examination with ease.
The BECE is set to commence from July 8 to July 15, 2024, at all centres across the country.
Mr Ndebah who is a son of a late Ghanaian renowned Lawyer and politician, John Akparibo Ndebugre urged the candidates to be committed to their books to enable them come out with flying colours in their impending exams.
He also gifted sports equipment to the Zebilla Senior High Technical School (SHS), aiming to discover and nurture new athletic talent as well as a 55 inch flat screen TV to the Timonde Health Centre.
Officials of the District Directorate of education, Zebilla as well as staff of Timonde Health Centre could not hide their joy upon receiving the donations, and at separate ceremonies thanked him for coming to their aid.
