In celebration of Mother’s Day, Joycelyn Tetteh, the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Dayi Constituency, has generously cleared all medical bills for patients at the maternity and children’s ward of Anfoega Catholic Hospital in the Volta Region.
In addition to this, she donated diapers, toiletries, soft drinks, and half pieces of cloth to all the mothers present at the maternity and children’s ward during her visit. This act of kindness aimed to alleviate the burden of caring for their children.
This remarkable gesture was Tetteh’s way of expressing her love and appreciation for mothers and children on Mother’s Day, which was celebrated on Sunday, 12th May, 2024.
During her visit, Tetteh also shared a brief message with the mothers and hospital staff.
She advised young mothers to consider family planning and ensure proper spacing between their children’s ages for the sake of their mental and physical health.
She emphasized that frequent pregnancies and childbirth without proper spacing can have adverse effects on a mother’s health and well-being.
Furthermore, she presented gifts to the hospital staff as a token of appreciation, encouraging them to continue providing quality healthcare to the residents of North Dayi Constituency.
The patients, nurses, and other workers of Anfoega Catholic Hospital expressed their gratitude to the MP for her kind gesture and for bringing joy to the mothers on this special day. They prayed for God’s blessings and guidance for her in all her future endeavors.
