The 2019 edition of the Annual Maltepe University Law Congress which features an international array of Law Students representing their Law Faculties, countries and continents has been held in Turkey.
The President of the Wisconsin International University College, WIUC-Ghana Law Students Union, LSU Rev. Kofi Oduro Ofori-Agyeman-Prempeh and a Level 300 Upper student, Mr Daniel Anim Prempeh where the only representative from Ghana and West Africa.
Rev. Kofi Oduro Ofori-Agyeman-Prempeh presented an abstract titled, “The Usages of Artificial Intelligence in Humanoids in the Legal Context” a legal concept on Artificial Intelligence in Robotics and their upgraded forms in humanoids which is currently a trending topic which cuts across all Jurisprudential spheres of life.
In his presentation, he cautioned for the need for Law Students to be abreast with Artificial Intelligence and its ramifications with special reference to the recent Ethiopian Airlines Boeing crash, which is alleged to have been caused by an Artificial Intelligence installed in the aircraft to prevent anti stalling leading to the fatal crash killing all on board.
In his concluding remarks, the WIUC LSU President Rev. Agyekum-Prempeh thanked the hosts and the Dean of the Maltepe Law Faculty, who is also a UN Law Commissioner of the International Court of Justice at the Haque for hosting them.
The team on their arrival later presented an official copy of the Congress Abstract Summations to the Wisconsin International University College law faculty reference library as a resource material on Artificial Intelligence for the school.
