But in an interview with Citi News on the sidelines of the commissioning of the upgraded Odweanoma Paragliding Field in Kwahu Atibie, Madame Barbara Oteng Gyasi revealed that a number of roads have been forwarded to the Ministry of Roads for consideration.
“Infrastructure to our tourist sites is key because if people find it difficult to access the sites they may be discouraged from visiting, so we have to ensure that we are developing the infrastructure to our tourist sites. If you look up to this particular site the road leading to this place previously was in a poor state but because of the interest in the paragliding festival we had the ministry improving the road”.
” Currently the road has been widened, smooth and all that is left is for the bituminous surface to be done which we believe will be done soon. We have also given a list of roads to our significant tourist sites to the ministry of roads for consideration in the year of roads. We are cognizant to the fact that we are close to the end of the year and some works have been done beyond this vigour years term and the ones that have not been done we can improve the experience of tourist when they travel to the sites”.
