The National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George has retained his parliamentary seat.
Mr. George garnered 48,775 to win the seat.
His main contender, Mr. Alexander L. Martey, a presidential staffer who stood on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) trailed behind with 19,887 votes.
The other parliamentary candidates in the race were Freeborn Kofi Teye of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) who obtained, 868 votes and an independent candidate, Richard Anmor who secured 271 votes in the polls held on Monday, December 7, 2020.
