President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is set to address the nation tonight, Sunday, May 28.
His address will focus on government’s fight against Coronavirus and Ghana’s bailout programme with the International Monetary Fund.
It has been months since the president came into homes with his regular COVID-19 updates which popularly became the ‘fellow Ghanaians’ address.
The updates began when Ghana recorded the first COVID-19 case in March 2020.
The World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday, May 5 said COVID-19 was no longer a global health emergency.
Following the declaration by the WHO, Ghana also lifted COVID-19 restrictions at all entry points of the country on May 20.
President Akufo-Addo is also expected to update Ghanaians on the progress of the IMF’s $3 billion bailout for Ghana which is expected to revive its ailing economy.
