Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah, popularly known as Shatta Wale and his rival Stonebwoy have both been granted a police enquiry bail.
Citi News sources close to the development said Shatta Wale has been officially charged by the Police for offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace and Stonebwoy has also been charged with the use of an offensive weapon, the display of firearm in public and threat to harm.
Shatta Wale was earlier on Monday seen being escorted out of the Accra Police Command under armed police presence after his arrest on Sunday.
In some videos available to citinewsroom.com, the dancehall artiste was seen being whisked into a police vehicle in the company of some his loyalists and close associates.
Shatta Wale’s father was also seen around the Accra Police command in solidarity with his son.
His former manager, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson popularly known in showbiz circles as ‘Bulldog’ was also seen as part of Shatta Wale’s entourage.
The Police are expected to brief the public later today, Monday on their findings at the disturbances that ensued at the Ghana Music awards event which led to one of the award winners, Stonebwoy brandishing a gun on stage.

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were both arrested by the police for questioning on Sunday following the scuffle that marred the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music awards event held on Saturday.
Both showbiz rivals have been lambasted for disrupting the 20th edition of the much-hyped awards ceremony.
They both spent the night in police custody.
