A sod-cutting ceremony has been held for the construction of an office complex for the New Patriotic Party in the Ledzokuku constituency.
The sod-cutting ceremony took place last Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the Teshie ECOMOG Park.
According to the NPP Member of Parliament for the area, Bernard Oko-Boye, construction work begun right after the sod-cutting ceremony.
“This office, the first of it’s kind in the Constituency since multi-party politics started in this constituency. It will have a toilet facility, office space, a conference room at the top floor and meeting space on the ground floor plus a car parking space,” he added.
The project which will cost about GHc250,000 is expected to be completed within eight months.
“What is extraordinary about this project is that it is being constructed on a piece of land donated by the family of the Member of Parliament. This is a commendable move and is expected to bring honour to the people of Ledzokuku, the New Patriotic Party and the President of the Republic, His Excellency, Nana Akufo-Addo.”
The occasion was graced by the political Assistant of the Chief of Staff, Mr Frank Asiedu Bekoe, who represented the Chief of staff and donated GHc10,000 in support of the construction of the office complex.
Titus Nii Kwartei Glover, MP for Tema East and Deputy Minister for Transport and Lawyer Jerry Ahmed, the CEO of Coastal Development Authority were also present at the event and supported with building materials.
