Three persons arrested by the Kpetoe District Police for stealing from the Ghana Revenue Academy premises in Kpetoe have confessed to the crime.
This was revealed in a statement signed on Thursday by the Public Affairs Officer of the Volta Regional Police Command, Corporal Prince Dogbatse.
According to the statement, the three culprits, Badawusu Kwadzo James,18, Bedu Godsway, 21, and Agbowali John,21, pleaded guilty to the offence of stealing and were convicted on their own pleas.
The convicts stole four Polytanks of 10,000-litre capacity each, 24 pieces of ceiling fans and a set of water closet, all valued at GHS23,500.00 from a construction site of the Ghana Revenue Academy at Kpetoe.
The Volta Regional Police Command in the statement warned “miscreants within the jurisdiction to be mindful of the consequences of their actions as the Police will stop at nothing to arrest them and deal with them according to the law”.
They also urged the general public to “take personal security very seriously and give timeous and credible information to the Police to help fight crime”.
