The artistes billed to perform on both nights of the awards ceremony are Efya, Kuami Eugene, Eno Barony, KiDi, Kwesi Arthur, Kofi Kinaata, Adina, Joe Mettle, Diana Hamilton Medikal, Okyeame and Epixode will be on stage.

Others are DopeNation, MzVee, Yaw Tog, Sista Afia, Yaa Yaa, Dead Peepol, Gyakie, Fameye, Bethel Revival Choir, among others.

On Monday, June 21, 2021, Ghana joined over 130 countries to celebrate what the French call Fete de la Musique on World Music Day.

The programme was marked with national dialogue, a master class, and the honoring of unsung heroes of the music ecosystem including Sidiku Buari, Professor John Collins, Kenneth Kwaku Avotri Kafui and Benjamin Mensah (Big Ben Music Production).

Already, there have been other activities to mark this year’s awards festival. The VGMA Xperience Concert, a live-performed music show of artists selected from a cross-section of VGMA nominees was held Saturday 12th June 2021.

There has also been the ‘VGMA IN SCHOOLS project, a platform that has been created to bridge the gap between the music industry and academia.

The project seeks to work with schools, offering students interested in a career in music, an opportunity to dialogue with professionals.

The aim is to help students in music to start right, point out the role of education in a music career, and expose students to the basics of showbusiness.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Festival is powered by Charterhouse Ghana
