The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), will on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, hold this year’s edition of its annual investment summit, ‘Spark up’.
The event will be held, both physically and online, at 9:00 am at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra
The theme for the forum is ‘Maximising Ghana’s Investment Potential.’
The Special Guest of Honour for the summit is the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Others set to speak at the event are the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Yofi Grant; the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah; Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta; as well as the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanten.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show ahead of the event, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIPC, Yofi Grant, explained the motivation behind the summit.
“This event is a spark in the investment conversation. We want to elevate the discourse on how to improve Foreign Direct Investments. We have various parties of the economy to help us to do that.”
“We want to bring to awareness the impact of FDIs. We will look at what we received in 2020, what it was used for, what the opportunities are among others,” he added.
