The Ghana Nurse-Midwife Trainees Association (GNMTA) has assured members that it will not relent until their delayed allowances are paid.
According to the association in a statement issued on Wednesday “a delegation from GNMTA led by the President, Pascal Adumbisa and the former NUGS President, Mr Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo visited the Ministry of Health (Minister’s Office) and is currently arranging a meeting with the Minister and the leadership of GNMTA to address the concerns regarding the allowance.”
“Again we also want to inform all members that we are reliably briefed with evidence on how far the payment process has gotten to and remain confident that sooner than later our struggles will yield results with payments of allowances done soon.”
The Association therefore assured members of its unflinching devotion to the collective interest of all Nursing and Midwifery Students, especially the allowances, and would use all reasonable and lawful means to ensure the allowances were paid.
