Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate (PC) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Achiase Constituency, Mrs Adom Biamah Benedicta (Obaa No), visited the party’s Eastern regional office in Koforidua, accompanied by Citizen Eye Ghana, to submit her nomination forms.
As the sole female candidate, she expressed her commitment to the development of the youth in her constituency.
In a statement to the press, she emphasised the importance of creating opportunities for the young population, highlighting her empathy for their struggles and her motivation to seek the nomination.
“The youth need to see development, and they are my main motivation for filing for nominations.”
“As a mother, I feel the pain and frustration of the youth who do not have jobs and are always fighting to make ends meet,” she said.
She entreated delegates to vote massively for her.
The Managing Director of Citizen Eye Ghana, Mr Alex Kwaku Tetteh, also voiced his support for Obaa No, citing the need to maintain the Achiase seat and expressing confidence in her ability to succeed where male predecessors have not.
“Our main aim as a party is to retain the Achiase seat, and the best way to do that is to rally behind Obaa No as her male predecessors have disappointed us,” he said.
Mr Tetteh further discussed their strategy to secure a victory in the delegate election and reaffirmed the organisation’s support for female aspirants, aligning with the president’s directive.
“The president has asked us to push female aspirants as women are the backbone of the nation. We at Citizen Eye Ghana support her because we believe in her vision” Mr Alex Tetteh said.
He encouraged all parliamentary aspirants to contact Citizen Eye Ghana for support, regardless of political affiliation, and provided a contact number for assistance.
Mrs Biamah’s political lineage and her background in banking and philanthropy were also noted, along with her belief that her nurturing qualities will contribute to the party’s success in the upcoming elections.
