Founder and leader of the Hezekiah Apostolic Prayer Ministry, Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei, is calling on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to honour the memory of the late Jerry John Rawlings, founder of the NDC, or risk losing the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at a press conference in Ho, Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei asserted that the only way the NDC can honour the late former president is by selecting a running mate for the flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama, from the Volta Region.
Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei suggested Leslie Mensah Tamakloe, who is the Chairman of the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure (BOD) and a possible running mate for the NDC.
He added that the flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama, must step down for the NDC to conduct new presidential primaries if the party fails to select a running mate from the Volta Region, in the person of Leslie Mensah Tamakloe.
“All the political parties honour their founding fathers. If they want to win the 2024 elections, they must honor the founder Jerry John Rawlings. The only way you can honour him is to go to the Volta Region, go to Anloga, and pick the seat of Rawlings in the person of Leslie Mensah Tamakloe. When you do that, you have honoured your founder.”
He added, “If you want the vote of the Volta region, you’ll honour the founder by giving the running mate position to the Volta region, and the person God has appointed is Leslie Mensah Tamakloe. And I want everybody to read my lips; if they do not do it, they will not win the 2024 election, and they shouldn’t expect to be sworn in on 7th January 2025.”
Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei attributed the party’s defeat in the previous elections to not picking a running mate from the Volta region.
