The Chief Executive Officer of RIFE International, Kwabena Osei-Sarpong has been named in Washington Business Journal’s (WBJ) 40 Under 40 list.
He joins a list of 40 ‘change makers’ within Washingston who are under the age of 40; ordinary people impacting lives in extraordinary ways. They have been described as “[standouts] in his or her industry, climbing the ranks at a young age while still finding time to impact the Greater Washington community.”
Mr. Osei-Sarpong was “recognised for his achievements in business and civic engagement, both in the local U.S economy and markets overseas” according to RIFE Interntional. He is also, a former Apex Soceity 30 Under 30 list winner.
The energy efficient and sustainable construction solution provider sets out to develop and improve access to green and energy-efficient power in the U.S. and emerging markets abroad.
With domestic offices in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, Baltimore, MD, and an international office in Accra, Ghana; RIFE strategically continues to expand into markets in need of energy efficiency and sustainable development solutions.
The team led by Mr. Osei-Sarpong has thus executed several projects, engagements and studies for a number of Fortune 500, Federal, State, and Municipal clients including the Smithsonian Institution, U.S Department of Energy, Bank of America, Hilton Hotels and Johnson Controls, Inc. In the overseas markets, Kwabena OSei-Sarpong is leading his team to implement energy cost-saving measures for both public and private sectors.
The WBJ 40 Under 40 awardee also earned the 2015 Business of the Year awarded by Montgomery County Department of Economic Development for Small Businesses; and the 2014 Top 100 MBE firm in the Mid-Atlantic Region by the Mayor’s Office of Baltimore.
He serves as an advisory board member for ENACTUS, on the Government and Business Leaders for Radford University his Alma Mater, and as a Master Coach for the Skinner Leadership Institute in Washington D.C. He is a former president and Board member of the African American Real Estate Professionals of Washington D.C. and the Educational Accessibility for Children in Hardship Foundation in Ghana.
He also previously served as a board member of the African Diaspora for Change Foundation in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and is advising the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
Kwabena Osei-Sarpong holds a Masters degree from Georgetown University with a focus on sustainable development and an executive education certificate from Harvard Business School.
