The National Youth Authority (NYA) as part of its ‘COVID-19 Youth Campaign’ has donated assorted essential medical equipment to the Ministry of Health in support of Ghana’s efforts at combating the Coronavirus pandemic.
The CEO of the NYA, Mr Sylvester Tetteh presented items worth GHS700,000 include 200,000 gloves, 2000 Cardinal Health PPEs, 1000 Re-useable PPEs, 400 Googles, 5000 hand sanitizers and many other essential items.
The National Youth Authority recently launched the ‘COVID-19 Youth Campaign’ to rally the youth in mobilizing the needed support for the government’s fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
Among the dignitaries present were the Board Chairperson of NYA, Francisca Oteng Mensah, Board member Henry Nana Boakye and National Youth Organizer of NPP, Nelson Owusu Ansah Deputy CEO of NYA and some directors of the National Youth Authority in presenting the essential items to the Ministry of Health.
COVID-19: Nine new cases push Ghana’s count to 214
Nine new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Ghana. This has increased the country’s case count to 214 as at 0600GMT on Sunday, April 5, 2020.
Six of the cases were confirmed in the Greater Accra Region while the remaining three were recorded in the Ashanti Region.
One of the patients who contracted the disease in the Greater Accra region, a 37-year-old woman, had no travel history, neither did she have any contact with another confirmed case.
