A non-governmental agency, Christian Helpwork for African Association (CHAA), has donated some computers and accessories to the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA) to help the agency efficiently discharge its duties.
The donation is part of the association’s corporate social responsibility to contribute to achieving societal goals.
Speaking to Citi News, the Registrar of HeFRA, Dr. Philip A-Bannor, who received the items on behalf of the agency says the gesture will help the agency digitize its operations.
“We reached out to him for assistance, and he promised to deliver some computer equipment to us, which we badly need in our regional offices and even here at the national office. We bought some on our own, but this is certainly not enough. This will certainly help us to complete our mission which is HeFRA goes digital. We are trying to digitalize everything we do. So, this will really help us”.
The International Director of the NGO, Rev. Alfred Osei Opoku, says he hopes the donated items are put to good use.
“I am donating these items to HeFRA, to make their work efficient. I am giving it to them to make sure they use them in a better way to care for the people. I promise to give more since I know these items will be put into good use”.
Mr. Opoku further called on other bodies to emulate his gesture to help in contributing to national development.
