The Assin North New Patriotic Party (NPP) has held its constituency elections to elect executive members to steer the affairs of the party.
In all, 527 eligible delegates voted for nine candidates for various positions in the party in addition to one candidate who went unopposed.
At the end of the polls, persons believed to be supporting the candidature of the former Trades Minister, Alan Kyerematen, won various positions.
For instance, the elected Chairman, Benjamin Essah polled 304 votes to win the position and the Women’s Organizer, Maame Ama Asantewaa Obeng won with 384 votes.
The newly elected Women Organizer is the Deputy National Coordinator of Alan’s Professional Group, Progress Club.
The Constituency Campaign Coordinator for Alan in the Assin North Constituency indicated to NPP supporters to stand firm and resist every intimidation by voting massively for Hon. Alan Kyerematen to retain power in 2024.
A recent survey published by Global Info Analytics, a renowned research group has tipped Alan to win the election.
