Head of Consumer Products at Ecobank, Kate Thompson, says the bank is putting measures in place to make farmers financially sound across the country by introducing Express Accounts to these farmers.
According to Kate Thompson, more packages are on their way to help farmers in the country.
She disclosed this during the Ecobank’s Double Salary draw held in Sunyani. The draw is to honour its clients across the country.
“Ecobank has put measures in place where we go to the customers ourselves instead of the customers coming to us. We go to farmers in their localities thereby bringing banking to their doorsteps.”
Kate Thompson disclosed that they help the farmers to open bank accounts.
“We help the farmers to open accounts we call Express Accounts; we also help them to register for Ezwich cards to help them to receive payment from the government easily.”
She noted that “We are creating this environment to make these farmers financially sound; this also helps us to know them better. We have also set up what we call Express Points so that in the various farming communities they are able to do their banking seamlessly.”
She admonished farmers to patronize their services and products.
