The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East in the Central Region, Mavis Hawa Koomson, has expressed optimism that she will retain her seat in the 2024 polls.
During an interview on Face to Face on Citi TV, the MP stated that she will win the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries as well as the general elections.
She believes the infrastructural development she has churned out in his constituency will earn her another term to represent the people of Awutu Senya East
“As for the primaries it is a done deal, and I know by the grace of God, the general election will also be a done deal.”
Asked about some of her achievements in the constituency, Madam Mavis Hawa Koomson underscored, “Sometimes I even forget some of them. Currently, one of the major projects I’m doing is the building of a regional police headquarters for the people of Awut Senya East in the central region.
“I’m doing this single-handedly. I’m putting up a very big building in which they can be accommodated. When we talk about crime these days, Kasoa is not an expectation. We need these policemen to be there to protect lives and properties. We want them in the centre of the town so that they can operate from every corner”.
