After an intensified Breast Cancer awareness campaign within its operation areas nationwide, ASA Savings and Loans Company Limited has culminated the October pink month with a breast cancer screening at Kwadaso and Suame in the Ashanti Region.
The month-long activities, which included sensitization and breast cancer screening in targeted communities, are part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The gesture was extended to communities in the Kwadaso and Suame Municipalities, where 283 females underwent breast cancer screening.
Medical Officers from the Suntreso Government Hospital who conducted the screening exercise detected a special case and referred four people for a mammogram.
Evelyn Adzamli, the Kwadaso Branch Manager for ASA Savings and Loans Limited, said the company took advantage of the pink month to educate clients on breast cancer-related ailments. She emphasized the need for clients to seek early treatment to prevent their conditions from worsening.
Enoch Dzidodo Fiador, the Kwadaso Area Manager for ASA Savings and Loans Limited, pledged the company’s commitment to supporting the well-being of clients in the catchment area.
A breast cancer survivor, Grace Appiah, demonstrated how individuals can perform self-checks for breast cancer symptoms at home. She encouraged females to promptly visit the hospital if they notice any signs of breast cancer-related ailments.
Also present were the Area and Branch Managers of the company at Suame and Krofrom, Mohammed Mumuni and Patrick Segbefia.
