Ghana’s former 200m record holder, Joseph Paul Amoah says he is taking it one race at a time after making it to the men’s final.
Joseph Paul Amoah recorded a time of 20.93s, with Ibrahim Fuseini close behind at 21.03s in men’s semifinal 2, securing a clean sweep for Ghana.
Speaking to Citi News, Joe Paul said the wind played an adversary role in the 200m semis.
“This is my third race in three and I am taking it a race at a time. The wind today was against all of us and it makes it a little difficult but we are professionals and we will do what we have to do,” he said.
Asked if he was ready for the Paris Olympics games, Paul Amoah responded in the affirmative.
“As athletes, we train for this. This is what we train for. I am trying to get there,” he added.
Joseph Paul Amoah will be racing against his compatriot, Ibrahim Fuseini. The race is scheduled for 16:50GMT on Friday, March 22, 2024.
