Media personality Abigail Ashley has been honoured with two awards at this year’s Golden Age Business and Creative Arts Awards (GABCAA) in Accra.

These accolades, which include Radio Personality and Health Media Personality of the Year, acknowledge her exceptional contributions to radio and health advocacy.

The GABCAA is a prestigious award programme that acknowledges deserving individuals in Ghana’s creative arts sector.

It originated as an enhanced and branded version of the Ghana Social Business and Creative Arts Awards, with a mission to celebrate those who make significant contributions to the nation’s development through their work in entertainment and the arts.

The first GABCAA event was held on March 6, 2021, and it gained recognition for its commitment to honouring diligent individuals in the field.

After receiving the awards on Wednesday, May 1, the radio and television presenter for United Television (UTV) and Okay FM expressed her gratitude to God, the award organisers and her employers for the opportunity they have given her to make a difference.

“I am grateful to the organisers for this recognition. I thank the Almighty God for giving me strength and I thank all those who have supported me in diverse ways to get this far,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Ms Ashley in July last year received four awards at the GH Fashion School graduation in Accra.

These awards included Most Promising Fashion Student, Best Student in Garment Construction, Best Student in Fashion Business, and Best Student in Machinery.
