In line with the celebration of the Islamic festival of sacrifice, Eid-Al-Adha, management of Galaxy International School in Accra, distributed packages of beef to 4,200 households in Ghana.
Managing Director of the school, Mehmet Akmermer, said the gesture forms part of their corporate social responsibility to make a positive impact in communities where they operate.
He said beneficiaries comprise people of different backgrounds and faiths, living in Accra, Cape Coast, Kumasi and Tamale.
He said the school also donated special packages to widows, orphanages, and special schools across the country.
“This is a brainchild of Tudec, our sister company, and intended to share our joy and happiness with others to mark the important Islamic festival of Eid-Al-Adha as Muslims around the world show love and compassion to their neighbours.”
“It is only through kindness that the true meaning of sacrifice will be felt as one essentially shares whatever he or she has with others,” he added.
