Old students of Accra High School (AHISCO) converged on the school premises on Saturday, August 17, 2019 to celebrate 96 years since the establishment of the school.
Past students of the school are famously called ‘Onukpai’ to wit ‘Elders’ in the Ga language.
AHISCO started as a private school with only eight students but now boasts of almost 2,000 students without counting first years.
The Founder’s Day celebration of AHISCO was organized by the past students of the following years; 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009, chaired by Onukpa Nigel Nsiah Akrong.
For those who gathered to make merry and enjoy the company of old friends, it was a “nostalgic moment” worth experiencing.
Several events have also been lined up in the coming months as part of the Founders’ Day celebration.
