Police in Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region have found the Hyundai Elantra vehicle belonging to the boyfriend of the late policewoman found dead in a hotel room on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
This was confirmed to Citi News by a close source at the Eastern Regional Police Command.
Lance Corporal Sarah Adjei was found dead at the Misiho Hotel near Nkawkaw with a note supposedly blaming his boyfriend, Timothy Dampare, for her woes.
The vehicle, with registration number GE 331-19, was said to have been driven to the hotel by the police officer on that fateful day, but was moved from the hotel together with the phone of Lance Corporal Sarah by unknown persons.
The Nkawkaw police are yet to find and arrest the persons who drove the vehicle out of the hotel and abandoned it at the outskirts of the town.
The Director-General in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department COP, Mr. Ken Yeboah, is currently leading a team of Crime Scene Managers and Homicide investigation squad to unravel the truth about the death of the police officer.
Two persons including Timothy Dampare the boyfriend of the late officer and Richard Nimo, the hotel manager, have already been picked up to assist in investigations.
Lance Corporal Sarah Adjei of Stores Nkawkaw Divisional Headquarters in the Eastern Region, was found with swollen cheeks and blood in her nostrils.
Police in the Eastern Region in an earlier press statement said they received a report from Richard Nimoh, the Manager of Misiho Hotel at Akwasiho (One of the suspects) that the deceased officer, in her mid-twenties, booked the hotel at about 12:00 noon, and when he went to check up on her at about 7:00 pm he found her lying dead in the room.
