The group also called on all individuals to challenge gender bias and inequality. According to the group, this year’s theme “Embrace Equity” aligns with the organization’s values, and what their struggles have been about.

International Women’s Day Celebration 2023
The Alliance of Feminist CSOs (AFCSOs) is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2023. This annual celebration is a global recognition of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world. The Alliance wants to seize this opportunity to encourage all women to keep their dreams alive and even aspire higher.
We also call on individuals to challenge gender bias and inequality. We believe that this year’s theme “Embrace Equity” aligns with our organization’s values, and so far what our struggles has been about.
We are proud to participate in the celebration. This theme is set to encourage the world to dialogue about why equal opportunities are not enough.
People come from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action. We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion.
Forging gender equity is not limited to women solely fighting the good fight. Allies are incredibly for the social, economic, cultural, and political advancement of women.
All these cannot be achieved unless those in authority are committed to the course, therefore we call on the office of the president to first of all declare his commitment towards realizing this goal and also make resources available to achieve same. Gender equity indeed is the way forward.
