The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Tema South District has appreciated its stakeholders.
Horace Nkansah, the Manager of the Tema South District Office of the ECG expressed his gratitude to a diverse group of stakeholders, including some Assembly Members and opinion leaders in his jurisdiction.
He acknowledged their contributions in keeping the District updated on power supply issues.
During a stakeholder meeting in Accra on Thursday, 18th April 2024, Mr. Nkansah stated, “We are deeply appreciative of our stakeholders for their ongoing support, particularly in relation to faults and outages impacting smaller areas or customer groups.”
He also discussed various system improvement initiatives, such as a project in Acheampong Village, aimed at enhancing power supply to customers.
The Assembly members reciprocated the appreciation, commending the management for facilitating a discussion on matters of shared interest.
They generally praised the District’s faults team for their prompt response to faults and outages.
They also raised issues concerning meter acquisition and low voltage.
In response, the ECG officials addressed the concerns and educated the attendees on how to directly apply for meters from ECG.
They also urged them to report illegal connections, which can contribute to instances of low voltage experienced by customers.
