Non-banking financial institution, Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans Limited has donated GH¢70,000 to the Heal Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Project.
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is leading a fundraising initiative to renovate major blocks of the KATH. The main blocks of this significant referral health facility are in dire need of renovation, a situation that is compromising healthcare delivery at the facility.
Renovation works are currently underway on the major blocks, thanks to donations received by the Heal Komfo Anokye project committee.
On Friday, March 15, 2024, the leadership of Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans Limited paid a courtesy call on the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace to present their contribution to the project.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans Limited, Tony Fosu expressed his company’s concern about the country’s healthcare infrastructure and their commitment to the project’s success.
He affirmed that the Asantehene’s call for support to refurbish the hospital was a positive move that required collective effort.
During the visit, the Sinapi Aba CEO also officially informed the Asantehene about the company’s 30th Anniversary and the planned activities to mark the occasion.
He took the opportunity to commend the King for his exceptional and sterling leadership over the past 25 years, which had fostered a conducive environment for businesses to flourish.
In response, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II acknowledged the significant role institutions like Sinapi Aba play in ensuring the growth of individuals and micro, small, and medium businesses, particularly in terms of access to financial services.
He expressed his delight that Sinapi Aba had weathered various challenges to reach its 30th anniversary, attributing this success to determination and good governance.
He encouraged the leadership to continue their good work and strive for even greater achievements.
Also present at the Palace were Mr Kwasi Atta Antwi and Mrs Dorothy Danso, Board Chairman and Board Member for Sinapi Aba, respectively.
They expressed their gratitude to the King for his unwavering support and encouragement over the years and formally invited him to grace the 30th anniversary of Sinapi Aba.
